Physical Exam Process
Conducting employment physicals is a simple process. First, Kroll will match your organization’s location(s) by ZIP code with the closest locations within our network of clinics across the United States. By aggregating the volume of all of our clients, we are able to negotiate very competitive rates.
It is important to have a clear and complete job analysis, which should set the requirements for the physical examination. Kroll recommends that you work with your attorney to design a physicals program for your company. For each job for which you require a pre-employment physical (post-offer), select the exams required for that position, and our experts will customize a protocol to assist the physician with those tests. For example, your requirements may include "employee must be able to lift 35 pounds." All medical recommendations are made in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Kroll can also consult on OSHA, CALOSHA and other related safety programs.
Kroll provides direct assistance for employees requiring a physical examination or drug test through our National Scheduling Center. By calling Kroll's 800 scheduling center number, your candidate can obtain all necessary information regarding the nearest clinic location, time of appointment, paperwork, and ID needed to conduct the employment physical and/or drug test. When the candidate is at the clinic, our OccuHealth specialists are standing by to assist with any questions regarding paperwork or protocol. After a physical or drug test is conducted, Kroll will ensure that all information is completed and reported in a timely manner, providing your company a seamless process that saves you both time and resources
After we match your facility locations to convenient clinics, applicants schedule their appointments and, when they arrive at the clinic, they show identification and state your company name. Kroll will notify you immediately when exam results are completed, generally within two to three (2-3) days.
