Special U.S. Services
For our clients performing background screening in the United States, Kroll offers numerous special services that can streamline your internal procedures and provide additional layers of risk management.
Adverse Action
Kroll clients who perform background screening in the United States have the option of transferring the entire U.S. FCRA adverse action process to us. By outsourcing this critical step, you can better ensure compliance with the FCRA.
Kroll’s Adverse Action program will make certain that an applicant who does not meet your criteria is provided sufficient, timely notice and an opportunity to seek a reinvestigation. Through our web-based platform, you can track the entire adverse action process and have access to an archive which chronicles each adverse action. For a nominal fee, Kroll provides two methods that allow you to outsource this function:
Auto Adverse Action This service is available for those clients that use us to assign dispositions. If a disposition of “Does Not Meet Criteria” is assigned, Kroll will automatically initiate the adverse action process. This includes sending out a copy of the background report, consumer summary, and notification letter with instructions on how to seek a reinvestigation. If needed, we will also send out the Notice of Adverse Action.
Adverse Action on Demand Clients can direct Kroll to send out the adverse action paperwork to individuals for whom you determine need to have this process completed.
Payroll Check
At times, employees can somehow bypass the process and start work without having undergone a thorough background check - a sobering thought since employing these individuals can have potentially negative consequences for an organization. Kroll's complimentary payroll check service was designed to help our clients uncover these individuals and ensure proper participation in their screening programs.
Kroll can examine your payroll and send you a list of those employees we find who were not properly screened before they started work. After you review the list, just let us know which of those employees need to be background checked by Kroll.
