Data Security
In our modern-day environment sensitive private information, like names and Social Security numbers, is quickly becoming more valuable, and unfortunately more and more people are being victimized by identity theft. As a result, Kroll is committed to safeguarding the safety of the information provided to us.
We comply with federal, state, and country-specific legal requirements applicable to the protection and dissemination of personal data.
Kroll has spearheaded many of the industry's safeguarding techniques. Our Fraud Solutions practice and Security Group serve in an advisory capacity to some of the world's most prolific organizations, helping them prevent and recover from data and security breaches.
This industry-leading expertise means that our clients can rest assured that Kroll strives to protect the personal information of our clients, the individuals on whom we perform background screening, and our employees.
Kroll does not sell or share personal information except as necessary to perform our background screening services – for example, providing a name and date of birth to a courthouse. Furthermore, all Kroll employees and contractors are required to sign and abide by confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, which prevent them from discussing confidential personal information of individuals across which they may come in the course of their daily activity.
We also perform in-depth background checks on our employees, temporary personnel, and vendors to ensure they meet our stringent standards for working at Kroll.
